SUBJECT- Rules for operating Seniority section of Contract
* An Interpretation of that pertinent part of Sec 17C relating to a reduction in force

The following rules are suggested for the operation of the [[strikethrough]]seniority[[/strikethrough]] section of our contract.

[[right margin]]An Interpretation of the pertinent part of [[/right margin]]

[[strikethrough]]They are based[[/strikethrough]] primarily [[strikethrough]]on[[/strikethrough]] Section 17C and [[strikethrough]]we feel they do not[[/strikethrough]] conflict with any portion of the contract.
[[left margin]]intended to[[/left margin]][[right margin]]it is not[[/right margin]]

It must be borne in mind that each step as outlined in the rules must be followed in sequence to have these rules work fairly and equitably.

It has also been assumed that the sequence of assignments as pilot preference are - FIRST PILOT = TRANSOCEAN 2. FIRST PILOT - DOMESTIC 3. RESERVE PILOT - TRANSOCEAN 4. RESERVE PILOT - DOMESTIC 5. CO-PILOT - TRANSOCEAN 6. CO-PILOT - DOMESTIC.

 The committee respectfully requests that they be allowed to explain this report and the reasons for the conclusions arrived at before any final action is taken in the adoption and putting in effect of these rules.
