The following procedure and sequence is suggested to be followed when a reduction in schedule or number of crews required is anticipated.

1. The number of crews required to operate the schedule as outlined in Section 2 Par H. It is assumed that 85 hours is available per crew.

2. Sufficient reserve crews should be set up to cover regular assigned crews because of sickness, vacations etc.

3. In case of reduction in force plots [[strikethrough]]assignments[[/strikethrough]] or [[strikethrough]]reassignments shall be as follows[[/strikethrough]]:
[[left margin]]allowed the following choices[[/left margin]]

[[left margin]]B[[/left margin]][[strikethrough]]A[[/strikethrough]] First Pilots - Displace the lowest ranking pilot in your status at the domicile to which you were assigned immediately prior to being assigned to the domicile at which you were displaced provided you have sufficient seniority.

[[left margin]]A[[/left margin]][[strikethrough]]B[[/strikethrough]] Bid on any vacancy open for system wide bidding.

C - Displace the most junior pilot on the system providing you have sufficient seniority.

D - Displace the reserve captain at your present domicile and fly as a reserve pilot at your domicile provided you have sufficient seniority to do so and in accordance with the number of reserve pilots required as of [[note]]blank[[/note]] date.

E - Remain at the domicile from which you were displaced to act as a co-pilot until such time as you are able to successfully bid a vacancy on the system.

4. Any FIRST or RESERVE PILOT reduced to co-pilot can displace a co-pilot holding a bid run provided he has sufficient seniority.

5. A reduction in schedule does not create a vacancy.

6. When a pilot has displaced a junior pilot at a base he shall assume his position of seniority at the next regular time that tours are bid.


7. Mutual exchange of bases between pilots of the like status may be made providing it is mutually agreeable [[note]]posted on all bulletin boards[[/note]] and approved by both the company and the pilots as covered by this agreement. [[right margin]]Further-mre, provided the change is not challenged by any other pilots who might be affected [[/right margin]]

8. Any pilot being displaced because of a reduction in schedule should be advised by letter outlining the prerogative he can exercise which should include [[note]]a list of[[/note]] the most junior pilots on the system and their bases.
