Mr. Charles Rohles, Bookkeepper
Air Line Pilots Association
3145 W. 63rd Street
Chicago 29. Ill.

Dear Mr. Rohles
I now have your letter of April 6th.

Colonial Airlines paid me $10,837.81. The Air Line Pilots Association paid me for Flight Pay Losses $423.80. Therefore, the total amount of money [[strikethrough]] I [[/strikethrough]] earned by me in 1949 was $11,261.61. [[strikethrough]] For [[/strikethrough]]

Through out the year of 1949 my payment of dues was in the $10,200.00 to $11,200.00 bracket. [[strikethrough]] Since [[/strikethrough]] At the end of the year when I computed my final salary for 1949, I found it was necessary to re-adjust my dues for 1949 [[strikethrough]] also [[/strikethrough]] as I had now gone into the next higher bracket to the tune of $61.61. In March 1950, I forwarded to you the adjusted amount of my dues for 1949 ($15.00) which you acknowledge receipt of in your letter of March 27, 1950.

I have no doubt as to what my status in the Association was. I have no quarrel with the fact that I am in a higher dues bracket (I assure that I would relish paying dues in the top most bracket because I would then be in a higher income bracket).
