May 26, 1952.

Dear Maury,

I read your letter of May 12, 1952 to our chairman with the satisfaction of reading a good letter well written coupled with the feelings that once again we were on our way to a accomplishing something.

I guess the wheels of justice grind relentlessly onward, but oh ever so slowly. To this date I have heard nothing from our Council. I have mentioned the problem to one or two of the Exec. Council members but they say that they haven't even heard of your letter. It appears that Our Chairman has not yet seen fit to bring this problem up before that august body (the Exec. Coun.) as yet. Have you heard form them?

When as and if they should get around to asking questions on this grievance of mine, I wonder if I might have the opportunity of conferring with you at that time?

At this time the Exec. Council is looking into the propriety of granting Rad Janas the hearing that he has requested, on the question of his return to active status. I pointed out to the Council that nearly every time Rad Janas took up any issue involving our contract he invariably ruled outside of the contract. I also advised them for their information that the material you sent them Re: my grievance was loaded with instances of not acting in the best interests of the pilot group as a whole. I hope they make use of this info.

The latest on our Colonial, Dykes problem et al, is: Present management won a victory at the annual stockholders meeting. Our company under the present regime is loosing 100 grand a month. Through our inadequacy we are building up our competition, by not being able to operate on schedule so our customers trip over to TCA and board their airplane in staid of ours. Our management got rid of Duff who was on the way to accomplishing something and are now scared because they may not be able to keep the Company solvent. This past weekend they have circularized about 10 airlines advertising the company for sale to the best and highest bidder. "Such a business."

With best regards, I am,

Sincerely yours,

P.S. Through an error, I only made one carbon copy. Would you kindly have your steno. make up a copy for Mr. Sayen and have it forwarded to him? Thank you.
