Captain G. R. Janas, Chief Pilot
Colonial Airlines Inc.
LaGuardia Field
Jackson Heights, New York

Dear Captain Janas:

The purpose of this letter is to formally advise you that I would like to exercise my rights under Section 29, of the effective agreement between Colonial Airlines, Inc., and the Air Line Pilots Association.

It is my contention that Sec. 27 of the agreement in effect between Colonial Airlines, Inc. and the Air Line Pilots Association was not followed in awarding the bulletined bid for temporary run on the Bermuda Division, and as a result, I may have suffered by this Decision of the Company.

Please consider this letter as a formal filing of a grievance.

Respectfully yours,

/a/ Michael A. Gitt
Captain, Colonial Airlines, Inc.
