Re: Simmons' Decision in Gitt Grievance

Dear Mr. Gitt:

Immediately upon my return to Headquarters I commenced to prepare a letter to Judge Simmons in accordance with our discussions in New York. However, since Mr. Sayen, Mr. Bennett and Mr. Behncke were all out of the city, I was particularly occupied with inquiries of various sorts and in addition I had to attend the United Air Lines Pilots' System Board of Adjustment, the final stage of the Baldwin Case about which you have unquestionably heard a great deal. Therefore, it will not be possible for me to provide you this week with a draft of my letter to Judge Simmons, but you may be assured that I will do so during the coming week.
