FORM GE6 PRINTED IN U.S.A.

COLONIAL AIRLINES, INC.
INTER-OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE

DATE: 7-25-49

TO: Captain M. Gitt
FROM: Director of Flight Operations
SUBJECT: Violation of Established Traffic Patterns

The CAA has requested that you submit to them through this office a detailed report concerning the approach made at LaGuardia, Trip 5 on June 23rd and Trip 32 on June 24th.

This is to advise you to use the utmost caution and accuracy in your reply since the CAA has implied that these deviations from prescribed traffic patterns would necessitate the filing of violation reports. It is suggested that your reply be made as soon as possible Since there are pilots other than yourself involved, a prompt reply to their inquiry would indicate Colonial Airlines desires to be of the utmost help and assistance in seeing that the noise levels in the LaGuardia area are kept to a minimum. I am sure that you had very good reasons to deviate from the pattern and if you desire, we can request transcriptions from the tower of the subject flights.

If this office can be of any aid or assistance to you in this matter, please feel free to advise us.
