[[underline]]DC-4 CABIN HEAT[[/underline]] (MBW 1-29-51)
For your information I quote a letter from Mr Watts relative to the adjustment of the cabin heat control valve. Please be guided accordingly and do not attempt to adjust this valve:
"It has been called to our attention that some flight crew members are adjusting the cabin heat control valve located in the heater ducting above the cabin to payloader compartment door from the under floor heat position to the overhead heating duct. For your information, when this cabin heat control valve is placed into the overheating duct it does not allow:
1. Any hot air to go to the payloader compartment.
2. It subjects the public address system amplifiers which are located in this overhead heating duct.
Those valves have been safely wired into the cabin heat control position. Instructions were issued in Servico Letter #265 - "N-93266 - Modifications" Par 3, copies of which were distributed to your office for the attention of flight personnel. We would appreciate your calling the above to the attention of flight personnel.
Chas F. Watts."

[[underline]]UNIFORMS[[/underline]] (MBW 1-29-51)
Mr Anderson of Smith-Gray will be glad to come to the field and measure pilots for Uniforms. Some of the pilots object to making the trip to New York to be measured. If pilots will advise me when they wish to be measured, I will arrange with Mr Anderson to be here.
