TO ALL EMPLOYEES OF COLONIAL AIRLINES, INC:

The following news item has been given to the press for release Saturday, June 23rd, 1951:

"It was announced yesterday that the Board of Directors of Colonial Airlines has elected Alfons Landa, one of the Directors, as President of the company to succeed Sigmund Janas, Sr., who is being retained by the company as a Consultant and continues as a Director.

Mr. Landa is a member of the Washington, D.C., law firm Davies, Richberg, Tydings, Beebe & Landa. He is a Director of several corporations and Secretary and Director of the American Institute of Management, a non-profit foundation devoted to the improvement of corporate organizations policies and procedures. He is a graduate of George Washington University and has studied at Oxford University. He is a veteran of World War I. 

Colonial operates flights from New York and Washington to Ottawa, Montreal, Bermuda, and to many intermediate points in New York and Pennsylvania. It has a safety record of no fatalities for 22 years."
