Collect all payments and deposit them in the fund account.
He shall be allowed, at the inception of the fund a maximum of $10.00 for the establishment of proper books.
He shall prepare a Bound Ledger, designation a page for each pilot, showing all contributions and expenditures on behalf of each individual pilot corresponding to the pilots seniority list. Such ledger shall be maintained as a permanent record. A monthly balance sheet shall be maintained in the ledger to show the overall condition of the pilots fund at the end of each month.
A statement of conditions and a list of names of delinquent pilots shall be read at each pilots meeting. A pilot shall be deemed delinquent when he has not paid his yearly contribution by January 30 of each year.
He shall contacts all newly employed pilots and explain the Colonial Airline Pilots Benevolent Fund.
5. METHOD OF OBTAINING FUNDS
Prior to December 31, 1954, many pilots contributed in the way of a donation to the entertainment fund which was also designated at the time as the welfare fund. This donation was made because it was felt there was a definite immediate need for it at the time. It seems in fairness to everybody in the Council everyone should contribute the same. The balance of the money collected shall go into the Benevolent Fund to act as working capital at the inception of the Fund. The aforementioned contribution in $10.00 for Captains and $5.00 for Copilots which is due and payable before January 30, to the Treasurer of the Fund.
Beginning January 1, 1955, and continuing annually each pilot employed regardless of status shall contribute $6.00 per year, said contribution being die on January 1 and payable up to January 30. A grace period up to June 30 shall be allowed after which time a penalty of $1.00 per month shall be added until paid. A pilot will be deemed delinquent after January 31.
All payments shall be made on a voluntary basis to the Secretary and Treasurer thereby eliminating personal solicitation.
