Mr. Charles H. Ruby, President
Air Line Pilots Association
55th Street & Cicero Avenue
Chicago, Illinois 60638

September 25, 1967.

Dear Charlie,

A few months back, I wrote you with reference to my pending compulsory retirement upon reaching age 60 (May 13, 1968).

At the time you offered some small hope through possible legal proceedings in order to break the arbitrary age 60 rule. You suggested that the attorneys would look into it, and you would advise me further.

With my sixeth birthday getting ever closer, I am beginning to get anxious. Would you please bring me up to date, and advise me what has been done, and what can be done, to further continued employment with Eastern Air Lines, as a pilot after I reach my sixeth birthday.

With kind regards and best wishes, I a m,

Sincerely,
