M. Charles II. Ruby -3-

This leads me to the request that, by whatever means may be appropriate, a review of all current Association employment agreements be undertaken in this limited area, and that, in cases where agreements contain language which would justify carrier rejection of age-retired pilots for appropriate flight positions for which they may be both legally and otherwise qualified, that the Association endeavor to introduce appropriate clarifying language. As one possible example of such language, may I suggest the following added clause:

"provided, however, that this provision shall not be construed to prohibit the continued employment of airline pilots who have reached age 60 as check pilots, instructor pilots, or in any other flight occupation to which they may lawfully be assigned."

With kind regards

Sincerely,

cam
