7. Coordination of Association Age 60 activities with current parallel efforts of pilots of American Airlines, who currently have under active consideration the commencement of a damage action against the United States.

As you will have no doubt recognized, there is little current relationship between the Committee's present time are aimed at locating a forum for a meaningful public examination of the Rule, and at deal-ing with issues arising under P.L. 90-202.

I note that you will attend the FAA's Medical Advisory Committee meeting on October 23 and 24 and that the Age 60 issue will receive that Committee's consideration at that time. Would it be desirable, in your view, to provide for the attendance of a current representative of the Age 60 Committee during the consideration of that agenda item, in view of our Committee's intimate involvement and concern with FAA's attitude towards this subject, and further by reason of any contribution which we might be in a position to make at that time?

I appreciate your courtesy in keeping me informed on your relevant efforts, and I intend that we should keep in close touch on these matters.

With kind regards.

Sincerely,

HAL:rcc
