Mr. Gerry Goss, Chairman
Age 60 Committee
Air Line Pilots Association
1143 National Press Building
Washington, D.C. 20004

Dear Gerry:

I very much regret that I shall be unable to attend the Age 60 Committee meeting scheduled for May 9-10, 1968. The ALPA Aeromedical Coordinating Committee are attending the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Aerospace Medical Association, May 6-9 and on May 10 and 11, I shall attend a meeting of the ICAO Medical Study Group as the IFALPA delegate. I have had positive commitments for both of those meetings for well over the last six months.

I had hoped to attend the next meeting of the Age 60 Committee in order to be able to discuss your letter of April 8 to me. Because this will not be possible, I should like to make it clear that:

1. Statements in your letter do not accurately reflect my views regarding Age 60 problem nor are they an accurate restatement of my concern with aspects of the present program.

2. In several areas factual statements in your letter are not consistent with the "facts" as I know them.

Sincerely yours,
Harry W. Orlady
