deeply involved themselves in matters affecting air safety have, under ALPA's sponsorship, been regular participants with government, industry and others in comprehensive efforts to monitor and promote the safety of air transportation. ALPA's deep and genuine concern for the enhancement of air safety, and its role as the collective voice of this Nation's highly respected professional air line pilots, has never been seriously questioned.

3. Petitioner Gitt's latest physical examination was on November 26, 1967, wherein it was determined that he met all qualifications for a first class medical certificate. This examination was conducted by Dr. S. Senior Sack, M.D. of Flushing, New York, FAA DME serial number 528-31-1. Petitioner Gitt is in excellent physical condition and is at a functional age which enables him to accomplish each and every requirement which the Federal Aviation Administration has established for a pilot-in-command of a turbo-jet aircraft in scheduled air transportation. Petitioner Gitt has received medical examinations from Dr. Sack for over 20 years in his 27 year career with Eastern Airlines.
