Federal Air Surgeon
Federal Aviation Administration
800 Independence Avenue, S. W.
Washington, D. C.

Dear Dr. Siegel:
As Chairman of the Association's Special Committee in respect to Compulsory Retirement for Airline Pilots, I would like to extend a most cordial invitation to you and to Dr. Reighard to be the luncheon guests of the Committee on Monday, January 13, 1969 at 12:00 Noon. If convenient, I suggest that we meet at the Association's offices, Suite 600, 1329 E Street, N. W. and proceed to luncheon from there.

It is my hope that this meeting might be an occasion for establishing a continuing means of communication between us concerning the matter of age as it relates to airline pilots, with the hope that such communication may be of assistance in your continuing review of the subject.

In addition, our committee is deeply interested in the subcommittee of your Aeromedical Advisory Committee which currently has the age issue under consideration. I would be hopeful that we could consider, on January 13, the possibility that the Association's Committee might be extended an opportunity to contribute regularly to the efforts of that subcommittee whenever the matter of age with relation to airline pilots comes before it for consideration.

Very truly yours,
G. D. Goss
