QUESTIONNAIRE

Issue as stated by the Piedmont MEC:

"Age 60 Retirement: The request for support on this issue was discussed at great length. On the one hand it was felt that the regulation was arbitrary and capricious, but on the other hand it was pointed out that the position of ALPA was to negotiate early retirement benefits. The philosophies being in conflict, the Chairman was directed to request ALPA-CHI to conduct a poll among PAI pilots concerning this matter before establishing a MEC position"

( ) I am in favor of the Association policy adopted by the Board which "strongly opposes any air line, government agency, or person arbitrarily setting a retirement age. A pilot of any age should be permitted to continue to perform the duties of an air line pilot so long as he is able to meet the established standards for a scheduled air line pilot."

( ) I favor the Association position of seeking increased retirement benefits for early retirement.
