Halliburton - direct 53

Q My original question.

If he were flying daily in some lawful capacity and periodically comply with issues and policies, fly the line in the jump seat for a certain number of flights to observe procedures and so forth, that would be legal, would it not?

A Legal?

Q Legal.

A Yes, it would be legal.

Q It would be no violation of the F.A.R.?

A No.

Q The only prohibition is that he not sit inany [[in any]] of the three seats of control when passengers or cargo are aboard?

A It's our contention that he cannot do this day-to-day flying that you refer to unless he is legally authorized to fly on the line.

Q That's an Eastern policy and not a federal regulation?

A And a contractual agreement and an Eastern policy.
