A  That's our policy, yes.

A  No. Each F.A.A. examiner that issues a certificate to a man, he merely observes the pilot going through certain maneuvers, emergency procedures and things like that. It is Eastern's responsibility or it is the carrier's responsibility to see that this man is a qualified line captain. He has a certificate and that is just part of the requirements.
