Q Captain, there has been some discussions concerning the F.A.A. requirements as they bear on the qualifications of flight instructors and check pilots Do you recall those series of questions?

A. Yes. 

Q. It is a fact, so far as you know, the F.A.A. does not require a flight instructor or check pilot to return to the line periodically to fly an airplane?

A. No. I don't think they have any such requirement. 

Q. So that in that respect, the requirement which is manifested in your policy exceeds the F.A.A. minimum, does it not?

A. Yes. 

Q. And the same observation is true, that the contract between the association and Eastern is in excess of the requirements of the F.A.A.?

A. It is.
