Genie and I will both be 75 this month and we are thankful to be as healthy as we are. We had a couple of nice trips this year. We went to Norcross, GA for a "mini" reunion with our daughter and her 3 first cousins. That was in September. In October we traveled to Stuttgart, AR to see a friend who was there from California. Nice visit and very enjoyable weather.

Enjoy the magazine very much. Keep up the good work.

As a lot of letters start, "Boy, another year has gone by", seems like only three or four months ago I was sending in the check, and here it is time again. Last week, January 6th, was the day I rolled up to the gate for the last time, (with passengers). Moving to the flight test department has sure taken the bite out of the old "60" rule. Actually, I have worked more since I retired than I did before. I don't pile up the flying hours as fast, but the working hours are far more. I have seen far more of the old DC-9 this past year than ever before. Full retirement looks good till I think about giving up flying, then I am not ready. This past week, I had the pleasure of flying both seats with Ed Sessions, now there, you talk about old. Of course I am senior to him now.

I sure enjoy the news bits in the REPArtee, and hearing what everyone is doing. I guess there is an "after life" before the after life. Perhaps, before long I'll try it. More Grandpa time and travel, (like we have not all had our share of travel). Maybe by car more.

In closing, a wish for another "Happy New Year" to everyone in the old Eastern family.

Sincerely, Bob Taylor

Through my job at the FAA I have been blessed over the years with the opportunity to see many of my old friends from Eastern on a fairly regular basis.

Invariably, whenever we meet and have a chance to talk, the subject always ends with us lamenting the loss or our beloved Eastern Airlines and expressing our gratitude for having REPA to help all of the memories alive.

It's way past time to say "Thank You" to all of you guys that work so hard on everyone else's behalf and have kept REPA alive throughout the years but......THANK YOU.

Bob
