On the occasion of reaching 76 seasons, I received the following forecast for getting older:

Partly Dowdy, scattered wrinklets, high pressure in the mid-section, increasing cellulite, thighs in the low 50s and patchy fog in both cerebral hemispheres. Oh what the hail, I see you've weathered another birthday.

Could be shades of Leon Jansen (EAL Meteorologist)

Lilli and I doing fine out here in barnstorming country. Wishing all the blessings of good health and prosperity.

Once again it is beautiful springtime here in Central Florida. The vivid colors of azaleas and other springtime blooms against the background of lush new foilage on the trees, along with the sweet aroma of orange blossoms wafting through the air. Is it any wonder that Florida is the fastest growing state in the country?

There are so many activities in our area at this time of the year, and so many that coincide, that we have to consider the fact that at our age we are lucky to still be here, regardless of our condition.

The Atlantic convention was another great one, thanks to all the officers and volunteers whose hard work made it a big success. Great to see so many of our fellow pilots, but sad that there are so many that are no longer with us.

Doris and I, are not planning to make the '99 convention, but, hopefully, we will be back ashore in a nice hotel in 2000. we hope to be there "the Good Lord willing, and the creeks don't rise."
Sincerely, Jack
