---Keep 'Em Flying---

The big army cargo plane which circled the airport with a flaming engine when it blew a cylinder more than a week ago, is still at the airport.

Capt. Michael A. Gitt and his co-pilot, Tommy Fordham, of Colonial Air Lines, now flying in the cargo command, are delayed here pending repair of the ship. Reason for the delay is lack of parts.

Captain Gitt, an Irishman, says his one claim to fame is that he once entered a raffle for an airplane---a raffle staged by the Ninety-Niners, girl's national flying organization. The plane was won by Edward Musick, Pan-American's famed pilot who perished just before the war.

"Musick didn't want the plane so he sold it to me for $1,000, which was $500 less than cost." Gitt related.

Fordham is planning to write a book shortly describing his experiences in this new and unique air freight service.
