I beg leave to make the following report:

Through the earnest solicitation of Wood Yeatman & Co. and J. F. Johnson & Co. owners of large Iron Works in Stewart Co., Tenn., visited their place of business the 15" inst for the purpose of making contracts with their laborers, and instructing them in regard to their duty.

On the night of the 17th inst while at the Works of Messrs Woods Yeatman & Co., six armed white men made a Raid on the laborers of Johnson & Co's Iron Works and robbed them of a considerable amount of money a number of revolvers and other arms.
