Jasper, Tennessee, April 2nd, 1866

To Wm A Sorrells, Sup't Bureau Refugees, Freedmen &c &c

Sir - I hereby authorize you to render judgment against me in favor of the holder of a note given by me to Jerry Whisenant for forty eight dollars on the 6th of January last, due one day after date; and also one other judgement in favor of the same against me for two dollars, due by account for four days labor done by the son of said Whisenant.
