I have to travel almost exclusively by private conveyance.  Rail Roads, seldom answering my purpose, consequently when the streams are so swolen I am compelled to remain idle.

Blount, Monroe, Roaue, and Morgan Counties yet remain to be canvassed, which will be but a Small job after the roads become passible again, and would have been done, had it not been for the exceedingly bad weather.
