I further certify that on or about the 1st of March, W H Goodwin was sent for by one Jeff Skeen to come and help him as he had been arrested for House burning, said Goodwin went and charged him $50 in money and a grey Horse, he got clear, and Goodwin agreed to let him keep the Horse to raise his crop, but, in a few days he was again arrested and put in jail on a Peace Warrant. when said Goodwin sent for and got the Horse and brought him here, and still has him, he then got the negro out of Jail and made him by persuasion to leave her and take his wife, which he did
