Dear Sir

Mr Wilson (Bureau Claim Agent here) called on the Teacher of the Colored School at this place this morning and told her that if she was teaching a Bureau School she could continue on, but if it was a free school she could not teach any more, in that house, for he built the house with his own money and had control of it. He also tried to get one of the Teachers that I have hired for the country near here, to leave and go up the River to teach, telling her that he was not going to have any school taught in the country here. Some weeks since he informed the Colored Trustees of this building that he had nothing more to do with the Bureau here and that they must take charge of the house. He now tells them that they have nothing to do with the house but that it is under his control. He called upon the Directors of this School Directors and wanted them to receipt to him for the benches &c that were in the house as his property. They made enquiry in regard to
