Dear Sir

At a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Canfield Orphan Asylum, holden this day on the notification of the President Rt. Rev. C. T. Quintaro, the undersigned was appointed to address you a letter, requesting a continuance of the aid you have heretofore so generously bestowed on this Asylum.  

We learn from the public prints that the Bureau will not extend aid after 1 Jany. next except for Educational & Hospital purposes. Fully agreeing to the propriety of this, we yet ask your attention to the fact that this Asylum is both a School and Hospital, and therefore within the spirit of your exception. Besides educating the poor children and furnishing them proper medical assistance, we furnish them with food and clothing, without
