meet. All the widows and orphans (made so by the late war) who in more favored sections are supported by the generous pensions of the Government, are here obliged to rely upon that private charity, which in view of suffering, cannot enquire too closely for the cause of it.

We hope these considerations and others which will readily suggest themselves to your mind, will induce you to continue to this worthy object the aid we so much need.
