The Superintendents for the counties of Fayette, Hardeman and Carrol and the Sub. Dist. of La Grange, report that the affairs of the Bureau are moving on smoothly, in their respective districts.

In Gibson County which has been without any Agent  since the death of J.W. Jones, the freedmen appear to be getting along quietly, and a majority of them are doing well.

No Reports have been received for the month of October from the Counties  of Benton, Henderson, Henry, Tipton, Obion, Lauderdale, Decatur and Weakley.

Your attention is invited to the enclosed consolidated Monthly Reports of the County Superintendents.  I would especially call your attention to the condition of a small section of country in this Sub. Dist. situated upon
