of our most prominent colored citizens, representing some $250,000 worth of property. This meeting was the result of several others, at which Col. Harris laid before the colored people the great benefits, to be realized by their having an institution of this kind in their midst. The colored people are now taking a lively intrest in the success of the Bank and its management has been reorganized in the following manner:

C. C. Dickinson (Cold) has been appointed . An executive Committee consisting of Saml  Tillman, J. H. Barnum, J. P. Coldwell (Cold) Morris Henderson (Cold) and James Hicks (Cold) were selected. An advisory committee of thirty-six persons were also elected. This committee is composed of all the ministers of the colored Church, all the male teachers of the colored schools and the remainder are the most prominent and influential colored people in the city. The institution will undoubtedly in a short time be able to pay its own expenses. The deposit have been largely increased under the new arrangement. They were for Dec. 181.1. $1.98 70/100 for Jany. 181.9 $508, and for Feby, $1725 18/100 and are steadily increasing. Quite a large proportion of this is gold & silver
