Jesse A. Brown Esq, Agent of the Bureau, reports that he has approved 12 contracts embracing the names of 12 laborers. Four orphan children have been apprenticed by the COunty Courts. He reports everything as moving on greatly, except that the County authorities will not provide for the support of of the colored peoples._ that he has made application for assistance but has been refused.

Joseph A. Blakemore, Esq, Agent for Gibson County reports that he has approved (9) nine contracts, embracing the names of 32 laborers. He reports that the freedpeople of his County are doing very well.- Capt. Kendrick who has recently inspected the condition of affairs in this County reports that the condition of the freedpeople is much improved. But one outrage has been reported as being committed by the whites upon the blacks to wit: A freedman was murdered at Rutherford Station, Two white men have been arrested on suspicion and bound over for trial at the next term of the Criminal Court. There are no colored vagrants in the County, and no suffering from destitution
