I have the honor to make the following report of the operations of the Bureau in the Nashville Sub District during the month of June 1867.
Jose B Smith Agent for the counties of Bedford, Coffee and Franklin Tenn reports. The outrages that have been committed against Freedmen of this Dist that have not been punished by Civil law have had a tendancy to cause alienations distrust and a want of confidence that should exist that the laws would be impartially enforced the instructions received by the Agent from the Freed Comr will be camid out in regard to these cases, but from evidence already seen and assurances given, the Agent has hakes that it will be unnecessary to case for other assistance than that assigned him by the Civil
