I have the honor to report no outrages committed upon Freedmen of this county during the month of July 1867.

From the bitter partisan feeling so manifest among the various candidates for office in the coming election, I have feared serious difficulties might result, but I am happy to chronicle no disturbance of the peace thus far.

The supply of general labor is good and we have little or no suffering, except among a few blind and crippled - the old pensioners of the Bureau.
