Investigated this case found it substantially the same as reported by Lieut. Phillips. I had a writ issued, but owing to fact that the court at Carthage was in session, no official could be had in upper end of the county to serve it. I sent it to the Sheriff at Carthage. Have heard nothing further from it, will make a special report in the case as soon as heard from.
