General
I have the honor to submit the following report of the condition of Freedmen in the Nashville Sub District for the month ending Oct. 31st 1867.

Capt Geo E Juddd. Agent at Pulaski Tenn reports.

-Schools-
The schools throughout my district are all opened and doing well. Many more will attend school this coming winter than heretofore. Great interest is manifested by the scholars and also by their parents.
The schools in Pulaski taught by Mr. Clark and Mr. Thornton are really very fine. Their scholars are more advanced than many of the white children who have attended school for years. It is very evident that colored children will learn as fast as any if you give them a chance. The whites make no objection now to their being allowed the privileges of schools.
