Know all men by these presents that Wm. M. Sheckles of the aforesaid State & county binds myself my heirs administrators. Executor & assignees unto the United States of America to furnish unto the under signed Employees Qarters, Lands, Stock to mak the crop with Farming Utensils and when the crop is made and gathered and the cotton ready for market to give the undersigned Employees one half of the cotton & corn that they make on the place as compensation for their Labor. 

The Employees bind themselves to rise by day break be ready by or before Sunrise in the field for work to take good care of the stock and implements entrusted to their care and if abused or damaged by us to pay full damages therefor to do any thing on the plantation for its improvements also to do any kind of work for our Employer that he may want done. To not absent ourselves from the place without permission and conform to all regulations that may be adopted on the place In case of sickness, we agree to loose a fair deduction in our part of the crop. We agree also to furnish our clothing, rations, Medical attention and forage for the team used during the year and all other expenses incured by ourselves & families. We bind ourselves also to cultivate well whatever amount of land our Employer may plant pr hand in corn cotton &c 
I Wm M Sheckles bind myself to furnish the undersigned Employees Supplies of all kinds that they may want at the neighborhood market price. They paying me six per cent interest until paid for. (Say When the cotton is ready for market and I retain a lien on the Employee's part of the
