Articles of Agreement made and entered into between M.W. Guy of the first part and Minerva Hall colored woman of the second part, witnessed that whereas the said M.W. Guy has contracted & agreed to pay to the said Minerva Hall One hundred Dollars for her services for and during the year 1866 to furnish her & child with two [[strikethrough]] sets of [[/strikethrough]] clothing & herself with one pair of shoes.  I feed them, the clothes to be furnished when needed, the money to paid at the end of the year 1866 — and the said Minerva binds [[strikethrough]] of herself [[/strikethrough]] obligates herself to cook, wash, iron & milk churn and attend to two cows & calves — and do all general business about the House to keep herself clean & neat, and also to keep the Cook house & vessels clean and in good order; She further agrees to assisting in working the garden feeding & watering the chickens, but is not to be required to work on the farm  She is to pay her own Doctor bills, stay & live in the yard of said Guy, and not mix with or have the field hands in the Cook house contrary to the wishes of said M.W. Guy or Mrs F. Oaty but in all things endeavor to please and give satisfaction to M.W. Guy & Mrs Oaty
