Articles of agreement between R A Moorman of the one part and Clem       of the other part witnesseth that Moorman agrees to furnish Forty acres of Land and one Horse and feed for the same & all the necessary tools to cultivate said Land.  Clem      on his part agrees to cultivate Sixteen acres of said Land in corn and Twenty four acres in cotton and gather the same.  After it is gathered Moorman agrees to divide the corn and cotton equally between Clem and himself.

Clem furthermore agrees to cut Moormans wheat, help him pail in his garden and [[strikethrough]] make the [[/strikethrough]] help him make the necessary repairs to his fences, free of cost.  for the true performance of which we hereunto affix our names the 1st day of January 1857.
