This in denters made and Entered in to this the 30th day of December 1865 betwene Whitson Macon and Thomas  i, Whitson Macon agrees to pay Thomas 1 Bale Cotton to way 4 hundred pounds and to furnish him Rations 1 hat 1 Pair shoes 1 Coat 2 pair pants 2 shirts 1 vest. Thomas a grees to bee a faithful indestrious hand and not to leave the plantation during working ours with out leafe and if he leaves be foar the year is out No pay
