Indenters for the year 1866
State of Tenessee
Hardemon County
Whereas this indenter maid and entered into this the 22 day of December 1865 between Whitson Macon of the one part and Henry & Evaline his wife and child 3 in Number all of the Sate & County aforesaid of the other part said Henry & Evaline agrees to work out the year of 1866 for said Macon
Said Macon is to pay Henry & Evaline Two hundred & Seventy dollars and find Henry 2 pair pants 2 shirts 1 pair shooes and Rations for said family 3 in number and the above named hands agrees to be faithful in dustrious hans and to work after said Macons directions and not to lave the plantation during working ours with out permition
