This Indenture made and entered into between N. N. Northcross of the first part and Harry Hines as head of family and Aaron Malinda Clarisa Rachel & Zilpha as hands on the 5th day of Jan 1866

Witnesseth. That said party of the first part agrees to furnish the above named hands two mules or horses a sufficient amount of land farming tools and the use of a wagon on the place and the privilege of ginning their cotton on the gin and giving such attention through J. E. Davis as agent and a superintendent on the place as is required

Said Harry Hines of the second part and all the hands agree to furnish feed for the stock and provisions for themselves on the place and cultivate this crop according to the advice of the superintendent 

They agree to work as is customary on the farm during all the hours for labor except on half of each Saturday which may be devoted to cultivating their garden or their individual purposes

They further agree to gather the crop and bale the cotton giving said N N Northcross
