their value any unnessary abuse of work stock or other stock on said farm damages are to be paid in proportion to the damage done any hand quitting work or refusing to do his or her duty is to be discharged and forfit what work may have been done to the said GW Newbern he furnishing another hand if necessary not visiting or receiving visitors during work hours visitors will not be permited to visit or congregate on said farm without special permition from the proprietor GW Newbern no live stock guns or pistols will be allowed on said farm without special permition A fine of one dollar will be assesed for every violation of any of the stipulations of this contract or a violation of any plane well understood order in regard to work on said farm the said Newbern agrees to keep said waggons in repair and order at his own expense for the general use of the plantation all lost time to be reported weekly or daily and the said Newbern is to keep an account of the same which is to be deducted in a final settlement at the end of the year at just price per day as labor was worth at the time it was lost witness our hands and seals this   day of January 1866
