This is to certify to the Bureau of the state & county above mention that I B.E. Vick of the aforesaid county and state have bargained and agreed with William Hill to crop for me the present year on the following terms "to Wit" I B.E. Vick do furnish land and team and farming utensils and feed my team. 
William Hill is to do the Labour necessary to cultivate the land well clear the inside corners of the fence around the land to be cultivated and repair the fence when necessary.  I am to pay Hill for making the railes but not for repairing the fence.  Will Hill is to find himself and family board & clothing.  The crop so made is to be divided one half to me and the other half to William Hill. The cotton to be divided at the Gin the corn at the crib and the fodder at the stack.  This Febr 26th 1866
