Articles of agreement entered into between A. A. Saddler and Celia Crews (Cold) Witnesseth that the Said Celia Crews (Cold) has agreed to labor for the Said A. A. Saddler upon the Following conditions and for the considerations Specified below, for the term of one year 1866 The Said Celia Crews agrees to labor in the field as a hand and to do all work in and about the house that she may be required to do, to Conduct herself in and orderly manner. The Said A. A. Saddler on his part agrees to furnish the said Celia Crews all necessary working clothes 1 pr Shoes, rations for herself and her two children (one 4 years and the 3 month old) and $20.00 in money. The said Celia to pay her own Dr's bill and that of her children
