The contract entered into between T J Richardson of the 1st part and Charles Jackson of the 2nd part. The condition of this agreement is such that the said Thomas Richardson agrees to pay the said Charles Jackson of the 2nd part one Hundred and Twenty five dollars, and to furnish good and holesome rations & furnish him with two suits of Clothes the money to be paid on the 1st day of Janry next or as soon thereafter as possible the said Charles of the 2nd part, agrees to do good and faithfull service, and to obey all orders of the party of 1st part and all other of the whites on said place the said Charles agrees to pay his own doctors bill. He further agrees not to leave the premises of the said Richardson without permission, & the party of the 2nd part further agrees that should he leave place of the party of 1st part without good & sufficient cause he forfeits all wages that may be due him.
