Articles of an agreement entered into between Willie Fort
and the following named parties for the year 1867
freedman, Ridley Anderson, Harry Joyner, Adam Joyner,
Jacki Patrick, and Bob Scott, the agreement is this
Fort agrees to furnish land turn and farming
tools and the above named parties is to cultivat
it well and give Fort the one half of every thing
they raise except what they raise in thare garden
the garden to be of sutable size to raise vegitales
thare families, Fort agrees to furnish wagon and 
turn to do all the hawling about the farm,
and the above naimed parties is to keep Fort in
fire wood, and help attend to Stock and other
little matters when necessary, the above naimed parties
is to take good cear of ther worke Stock Fort furnishing
feed for the Stock if the above named parties
brake a plow or hoe or any other farming tool
they are to have it mended except it be one that
is worne and is liable to brake at any time
The above naimed parties is to gather and house all of
the crop, if any of them clears any land they are
to have all they raise on it the above naimed
parties is to keep an eye to the fences if it should
be thronedown put it up and Stop log holes
at any time and place, the above naimed
parties is to hall the manure that is about
