Themain interest I have is with respect to the Indian veterans. A date limit has been set in which many benefits will cease. The date referring to all benefits is July 25, 1947, which is the date the war was declared over. Every benefit which the veterans have will begin running out on set dates after that date, some one, two, three and four years after. The ones I am particularly concerned with are education and training provisions. Many Indian boys have not yet started training and four years from July 25, 1947, they will not be able to take training under that bill. We realize a lot of our boys did not have the advantage of education and training and it seems there are no fields where Indian veterans lacking previous education can take advantage of education and training provisions. With this in mind the following resolution was approved by the Program Committee:

RESOLUTION:

"Whereas, there is only limited facilities for the education and training of Indian veterans in the United States, and

Whereas, the greatest need of Indian veterans is education and training to enable them to become self-supporting citizens in their community and an asset to the states wherein they reside, and 

Whereas, time limits under which such education and training can be commenced under the G.I. Bill have been set as of July 25, 1951, with no prospects for the Indian veterans to utilize these benefits;

Therefore, be it Resolved by the Convention of the National Congress of American Indians, that report entitled "Poston Project" consisting Part A Poston Training Center, and Part B Poston Colonization Project and Conclusions, Be and is hereby accepted, approved and concurred in. 

Be it Further Resolved that the National Congress of American Indians through its officers recommend and urge that the United States Congress take action to establish the Training Center for Indian veterans at Poston, Arizona, and appropriate sufficient funds to accomplish this purpose.

Be it Further Resolved, that the NCAI through its officers recommend and urge that the Congress of the United States appropriate not less than $2,500,000.00 per year for the subjugation of lands on the Colorado River Project for colonization of Indians until such subjugation is completed.

Be it still further resolved that since orders have been issued for the sale or other disposition of said buildings, plant and equipment at Poston, Arizona that NCAI make immediate protest by wire to the Office of Indian Affairs of any action to this end until
