May 6, 1910, and Public Law No. 291, S.61 16 approved December 30, 1916 which provided that all Indian lands in the state of Nebraska belonging to the Omaha and the Winnebago tribes, held under trust patents allotments shall be subject to assessment for taxation, on the grounds that said acts discriminated against the lands of said tribes. Other Resolutions presented called for restoration and reopening of the hospital and increase in medical facilities at Valentine, Arizona for the use and benefit of the Hualapai Indians. And the restoration of the Tongue River Reservation Hosptial facilities and medical service. These Resolutions including a resolution that relief assistance be sought for those reservations who need relief through the winter months, were referred to the Special Committee which will d gest these resolutions and recommend a plank in the NCAI platform touching on these matters.
